American Advertising Federation (AAF) of the Midlands is delighted to announce, for the first time in club history, they will be assisting two Public Service clients with pro bono marketing services during their 2020-2021 year.
Each year, nonprofits in Richland and Lexington counties are eligible to apply to be a Public Service client and receive pro bono marketing services. This year, the board voted unanimously to accept two clients to help further their mission of supporting the Midlands community. Previous clients include: Vital Connections of the Midlands, Palmetto Place Emergency Children’s Shelter and Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.
“We are honored to be working with such wonderful public service clients who serve our community on a daily basis. The unanimous decision to take on not one, but two public service clients showed me the level of dedication that our board is committed to,” said Jeff Lawler, President of AAF of the Midlands.
The 2020-2021 Public Service clients are: Communities in Schools of the Midlands (CISM) and Main Street Rotary.
Since 1987, Communities in Schools of the Midlands has provided students with a community of support and encouragement to stay in school. Through a graduation support plan, CISM assists children and youth, ages 5-17, in Richland School District 1 and Lexington School District 2 who may be at risk for high school dropout. AAF of the Midlands will be assisting CISM with the design of an annual report and newsletter.
Main Street Rotary provides service to the community while promoting integrity, advance of world understanding and peace through fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. Over the years, Main Street Rotary has made an impact in downtown Columbia through service projects for local organizations such as Hannah House women’s shelter, Transitions and Oliver Gospel Mission, in addition to fundraising for many local and international causes. AAF of the Midlands will work to provide Main Street Rotary with a new, functional website.
