The month of December always reminds me of two things excluding the obvious Christmas season: 1) My first time eating an oyster and 2) that this defining event occurred at our annual AAF Oyster Roast!

The Oyster Roast kicks off our holiday season with mollusks and beer. It also provides a forum for our silent auction to help fund scholarships for deserving University of South Carolina advertising students.

This year, weve partnered with local media to provide deeply discounted media packages as part of our silent auction. These packages are available from The State, ABC Columbia, Lamar Advertising, Inner City Broadcasting, Free Times, Columbia Radio Group, Columbia Metropolitan Magazine and more!

Well also auction off several entertainment packages including tickets to Broadway in Columbia's production of Cabaret, loads of Gamecock gear, and a basketball signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers!

Get ready for a night of fun oyster-shucking!

Please RSVP by Tuesday, December 1. This years event will take place at the Municipal Association Courtyard at 1411 Gervais Street from 5:30-8:30 pm.
